Star Witch provided me with my first Group 1 winner by taking out Australia's oldest feature race the Hobart Thousand. She was also a runner up in the Group 1 Sapphire Crown at Sandown Park and winner of the 2002 Ledgerwood Classic in a near track record at Wangaratta.
 
"Bree" as Star Witch was affectionately known had an amazing race record of 29 starts, 17 Wins, 6 Seconds, 3 thirds and accumulated stakemoney of $89,644.
 
As a brood bitch she only had one litter to Awesome Assassin and proved to be just as good a producer as raced bitch providing us with Path To Power, Witch Magic, Upon A Star, Star Warlock and Crafty Witch. Sadly on April 30th 2004 Bree passed away to a cancer but thankfully she is living on through her fantastic offspring.
