Introduction Bekim Bale is unquestionably one of the fastest greyhounds we have ever seen! Oblitterating Australia's premier city tracks, Sandown Park's track record at just his third start running a freakish 28.96.
At just his eighth start he took took on three outstanding open class/age race dogs in Radley Bale, Allen Harper and Cape Hawke for the Group 3 Shootout at Sandown Park. In what could only be described as "devasting" he blew them away by almost 6 lengths running a flying 29.13.
At start nine he competed in the Group 1 Melbourne Cup Heats qualifying fastest for the final from off the lure in 29.28.Exiting from box four he ran a massive race finding nothing but trouble throughout the race and finishing a gallant fourth only 5 1/2 lengths off the winner "Dyna Tron". A huge run!!!
Next up It was time to head north for the Group 1 Brisbane Cup Heats at Albion Park. Sight un- seen at the track, starting odds on favourite he overcame a checkered run losing many lengths still got up in 30.20 to make his second Group 1 final at just his eleventh start. He drew box 5 in the final and ran a sensational race in a rough house affair finishing fifth less than four lengths off the winner.
His next run was a trial at Sandown Park where he tore his back right gracilis muscle which was sad news for the greyhound racing public but sensational news for the breeders. At just over two years of age Bekim Bale was at stud and breeders have flocked to him. Already in his first month at stud he has had 45 matings/bookings including suberb matrons like Zarbo, Sonador, Kazar Bale, Okay Supreme, Witch Magic etc.
Not only a greyhound with freakish ability but one with a chasing instinct to match. He is from an incredible litter including brother "Heston Bale" who holds Victorias other premier city track, The Meadows track record of 29.45.
