The 2009 Group 2 Gold Coast Cup at Albion Park was a memorable win in a hot 29.90 Best defeating two of the local stars Dashing Corsair and High Earner.
Not only a super two turn dog, Velocette could weave his magic on horse shoe tracks also winning the 2009 Group 2 Horsham Cup in an airborne 26.78.
The 2009 Group 3 Shoot Out at Sandown Park was a hot match race with four of Australia's fastest greyhounds pitted against each other in a 515m dual. Velocette was victorious in 29.65 beating two of his generations fastest and now fellow stud dogs Turanza Bale and Mantra Lad.
His remaining Group triumph was the 2009 Group 3 Perth Cup Consolation in which he smashed the Cannington track record running 29.92.
Velocette also claimed the Cranbourne Puppy Classic in 29.98.
